I feel privileged to have collaborated on the print for the Isy B. Spring Summer 2016 collection with the very talented Tam Nguyen who showed at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2015 in New York last week. Her textiles explored the natural weathering of surfaces like mold or peeling paint in fabric textures. I'm excited that her work is receiving the accolades it deserves and we expect huge things for Tam. Working with Tam on the Isy B. prints was a creative pleasure from concept to the final product. Our inspiration for the textile print was taken from the inspiration for the new collection which centers around modern migration. I got a peek of the strike off sample of the fabric last week before it went into production, and I could have wept over it. It is absolutely gorgeous.
It's top secret until the Cayman Fashion Week presentation in April, but here's a hint for everyone who's complimented me on it; I'm wearing around Cayman as a scarf!
